“Fantastic ocean beach view from the balcony! Could see Wilmington buildings a few miles to the South. Shell Island Resort is at the end of the beach road! Walk the beach 1.5 miles northward the the ocean "river" flowing into the salt water marsh...Amazing!”

“Loved the space in the rooms, and the kitchenette. We also loved the cheap prices. Friendly staff.”

“Bathroom was dirty with hairs all Over the shower/bath. Surfaces were dusty in room and floor was sticky at entrance. Huge gap in window drapes so very bright in am which was awful since barely slept with the old and very loud and ever winding air conditioning unit. Have pics and video. Pool was filthy and the area itself was dilapidated and slapped together. Groundspeople walked around watering plants with rap blaring. I was flabbergasted at how lousy this experience was from the snotty front...

“Had an unplanned overnight stay at the beach after a motorcycle breakdown. Staff was super friendly, good food in the restaurant and the room was clean and smelled good. Weather was terrible, but the hotel more than made up for the drama we had to deal with!”
