"Room, walkways, lobby, pools, and parking lots were all very well cared for and clean. The no smoking was wonderful compared to other properties we’ve stayed at that allows smoking. The beach access has no steps, which is nice, but the beach end of the access ramp was steep. Breakfast was good. No complaints from our very picky children. The waffles were a big hit. We stayed 6 nights, and other than towel/wash cloths drop off and pick up, there was no garbage taken out, no cleaning/ bed making etc. We arrived early and asked about early check in, we were told we would be contacted if/when our room became available. We decided to hang out on the beach until then. We passed by a room that was empty and clean with beds made etc. we jokingly said “oo they could give us that room”. 6 hrs later we were still waiting to check in, so I decided to call and ask for an update. Our room was ready and ended up being the clean empty room we noticed when we first arrived. I would guess the night shift front desk staff had no idea how to check people in, nor did he communicate with the day shift staff we were waiting. Which I get, check in is at 4pm. Just an unnecessary inconvenience, considering the room was ready the entire day. Would definitely stay again."

"Our room in Cherokee tower had definitely seen better days. Carpet stained, bathtub very uninviting. It’s still a nice property overall though with a great non smoking casino and the area around the creek is lovely particularly the area outside of Starbucks. The noodle bar food is fantastic."

"This place was a great find. Looks to be an older building that's renovated and everything was very clean and had nice touches through out. There was a broom for sweeping sand up. The front desk was friendly and available for help. We got a snack of caramel corn upon checkin. There's a water spout for rinse off after the beach. The beach wasn't too crowded. Only minor issue we had was a balcony door that wouldn't close because the handle came loose. The front desk had a screw driver and we fixed it right away! We thought we had booked the ground floor specific entry but were given the top floor which was probably an upgrade actually because it was a much better view!. We didn't care because we only originally ordered the ground floor in case we took the doors off our jeep to bring them inside but we didn't end up doing that."

"I stay here a lot. The traveling band I play with plays in OBX much of the summer.Rooms are always clean and comfortable. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The location is good for someone looking to spend time on the beach. The free breakfast is always a good way to start the day. I will continue to stay here as long as I visit the OBX."

"I paid $30+ dollars for the breakfast buffet that just had eggs, potatos, and turkey sausage, bagels. I did not enjoy the breakfast at all. The sausage tasted like paper. My stay in your hotel was great, but I think you need to rethink the breakfast buffet. Also, most places do not charge an extra fee for the full hot breakfast. Either make it better or stop charging people. Other than the breakfast, everything else was great. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to comment."
