“This is a fine stately home and country club /golf club set in an expansive mature estate. It is convenient for Edinburgh. The rooms are in newer buildings and are very comfortable and well-appointed. The restaurants and lounges are in the old building and are classically luxurious. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. All the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly.”

“Very pleasant old style large hotel. Needs some updating, but room still comfortable enough though bath took a long time to fill. Good breakfast selection, no queues during week but on Saturday very busy - a popular wedding venue which also filled up the car parking. Lovely grounds with various activities for families and children, nice pool and leisure facilities. Dinner one evening was good but restaurant a bit bright and lacking ambience. Bar area with log fire lovely though music is not in...

“The trip was an impromptu trip away with my son and wanted a trusted Brand close to travel links abs with leisure and this did not disappoint. The whole place was new, fresh and clean. Food was good and staff friendly . They even had an Easter hunt for kids ”
