Unique property well maintained and quite Serene , great staff

This was the most amazing place to stay! This was our favorite stop on a 30-day trip to Greece, Italy and Switzerland. The surrounding countryside is stunning. Our room had a Turkish Bath - what a fun experience. We were a couple of weeks in to our vacation, and we were ready for some down time. Beautiful location and stay however both nights (on opposite ends of the week) with two different rooms..the shower flooded the room.

Hotel staff was very accommodating. The bed was comfortable and the service was great. Very close the train station, about a 5 minute walk. Great local restaurants within walking distance. Also great location for visiting the historical sites.

Wonderful place to stay in the most charming town in Tuscany! Spacious and beautifully appointed room with warm and gracious hospitality and they serve a delicious breakfast. Only we we had stayed 2 nights.

I cant say enough about the hotel! When we arrived in a taxi we did not realize the taxi did not accept credit cards. We were a bit stressed as we had just traveled over 15 hours. Imran, the doorman came to our rescue and without any effort on our part, pulled out his wallet and paid for our taxi. We then exchanged cash in the hotel and promptly repaid him. A mansion on top of a hill overlooking a magnificent view of Florence, very helpful efficient and smiling staff. the hotel itself is a perfect mix of historical and contemporary decoration. Very nice hotel. Staff was very friendly and polite. Receptionist even walked us to our room, which I had never experienced before. Check-in was very smooth. After check out, they let us keep our car and luggage in their property for the day as long as needed, which was very thoughtful of them. This property is one of our all time favorites now! The room was huge, separate dressing area with a view as well as a view over the Arno from the bathroom. The bed linens were really that . . real linen! Something I've seen rarely in the last years. The staff could not have been more helpful. The shuttle service to Florence was also really nice. This was our second stay at this hotel. It is in great condition. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast is very nice as well....there is a wide range of options, all displayed beautifully. The best part about the hotel might be the location. It is in the heart of town, just steps from the Duomo but also seems off the beaten path and remains very quiet.

This boutique hotel was absolutely wonderful! Amazing location, cold AC, incredibly comfy beds, huge and modern bathroom, free breakfast and appertivo, and a convenient spa. We truly enjoyed our stay here! The best part was the attentive staff who reached out before our stay and helped us throughout- giving restaurant recommendations as well as booking reservations and tours for us. Beautiful grand old hotel with high ceilings and wonderful frescoes in the room. When you wake up, it feels like you are living in the time of the Medici. The bathroom has no tub but the shower has 3 different heads with incredible power. You will not be disappointed if the strength of the shower is important to you. The blow dryer is terrible! Service is awesome! The food is the best in Florence! Dinner and breakfast.

Nicest hotel that we stayed at in Italy. Exceptional service and they strive to be upscale and deliver. Impeccable views, grounds, rooms, and restaurant. Almost felt too nice to be true-- blend of older style with new updates. A bit Disney-fied in feel that it seems to cater to mostly Americans and few locals. However, this means no hassles, broken fixtures, etc. (but it is a very different feel like a California spa vs. an old Italy village hotel). Only minor note is that it is a bit removed...
