"The breakfast was top notch! The following staff will make your welcome an amazing experience; Pietro, Sandro, Gaia (front desk) were professional and patient with us asking a million questions. The dining room staff; Luca, Agnese, Orlando, Sabrina and Roshi were just amazing. Their professionalism and kindness were superb. The staff at Hotel De La Ville were the best I have come across in all my travels. We will leave with fond memories."

"We chose a large room which had a nice table for sitting and planning out our day which was a nice feature. The room and bathroom were both very clean. The only issue we had was that the tub/shower was on a platform which made it difficult to get in and out of, even for my tall husband. The room was on the dark side so it was nice to have good lighting. The bathroom could use a little extra lighting for the ladies to apply makeup. The front desk people were all very nice and helpful, the breakfast was sufficient, and the breakfast room was bright and clean. We found the location to be very convenient to everything we wanted to do during our stay."

"This was a great little hotel. The location is great (2 minute walk from the Duomo). Great restaurants in the little piazzas behind it. The famous tripe sandwich truck is right around the corner! We loved the staff. The hotel is small so they know you well. Never had to ask for anything - fresh towels and clean room everyday. We added the breakfast and that was great - the woman who runs breakfast is wonderful. I would absolutely stay here again."

"I read reviews on Hotel.com and they were either 1 or 5. We arrived at the hotel around 1:30-2 pm and our room was ready. The room itself was pretty big. It was hot in Florence, the room did have an AC and it was working when we got to the room and that was the only time it was working. We couldn't turn it back on. Luckily, we had a big window that we left open at all times and room was OK temperature wise. Our room was facing the little courtyard, that had couple of tables and patio furniture and had a lot of shade and probably not a lot of people knew about it. I had coffee in that courtyard several times and it was very nice. We requested a room with 2 beds. I think, we had 2 beds, but they were next to each other with the same sheets and blanket, so it was basically one bed. The worst thing about the hotel was breakfast. The croissants in any stores are better than theirs. The selection was very limited, there was a sign not to take more than 1 croissant (like someone will actually would want another one) and there was a sign not to take anything to the room. Anyway, hotel was good, the location was great, but skip the breakfast."
