"Really enjoyed our stay there. Unfortunately the lift was out of order but the staff were really helpful in bringing our cases up and down the stairs! Staff were friendly. Atmosphere was great. Would definitely stay there again and have recommended it to other friends and family. Interesting historical background too."

"The staff were excellent. Bed was extremely comfortable. One issue, our room was not "refreshed" (new towels trash emptied)when requested. Alisa took care of it personally. She was great. Lobby bar music was a too loud to have a beer, relax with friends. When requested, night staff turned it down to a reasonable level."

Highly Recommended – Fantastic Location in the Heart of Edinburgh We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 6 Market Street and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Edinburgh. The location is hard to beat—directly opposite Waverley Station and right in the heart of the city. Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, Princes Street, excellent restaurants, and many of the city’s major attractions are all within easy walking distance. Our first room wasn’t ideal, but the team handled the situation exceptionally well and promptly moved us to a much quieter room without any fuss. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve slept in during our travels. A unique bonus was the complimentary in-room minibar, which is replenished daily with drinks and snacks—a thoughtful touch that we really appreciated. The staff were always friendly, professional, and eager to help. My only suggestion for improvement would be to ensure the front-of-house team has a deeper knowledge of Edinburgh’s attractions, restaurants, and local amenities. In a city with so much history and character, knowledgeable hotel staff can add enormous value to a guest’s experience. Overall, an excellent hotel in a superb location, and we would stay again."

"The hotel was in a great location! The rooms were clean and there were just a few small hiccups like when they forgot to put any toilet paper in the room - the evening I checked in- and then the next night not replacing the washcloths. Other than that staff was very friendly. Breakfast was not automatically included with the room, but I did purchase it for one morning and it was a good breakfast although a little pricey at 18 pounds per person in my opinion. They had a nice restaurant/bar for food and drinks"
