"I'm a senior adult and I was actually a little worried about the area at first but I think it was fine in the end. The building needs some refreshing as far as the structure goes. Interior was fine for the reputation that motel 6 has. Lots of working class people, should have better options."

"What an unexpected gem! Comfortable bed, comfortable pillows, clean room. Great location! Easy walking distances to get to the beach, botanical gardens, San Buenavista Mission, and all of downtown. There's a nice park with playgrounds for kids across the street. Free parking! Free breakfast! Eggs, sausage, bacon, chilaquiles, breakfast burritos, fresh fruit, yogurt, and cereal. Free happy hour with wine, beer, soda, chips, pizza, and wings! It is next to train tracks and the 101. We had a balcony room facing the beach. I am a light sleeper, but did not have an issue with the sound. The ac going drowned it out enough. Now, out on the balcony, especially with the window open, it is very loud! But windows closed, balcony door closed, I had no issue with the sounds. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again if I'm ever in the area."

"Room was quite nice; the location was great, right next to the beach. The sound of ocean waves crashing is amazing; the sound of roaring traffic from the freeway is not amazing. Also, during our stay, the hotel was doing plumbing repairs, so water was intermittent. "

"Had a great time with family at this Hotel. Location is great, right next to State Park and beach. Restaurant is great, really loved Egg White Caprese. Overall nice and clean. Google Maps needs an update to reflect right entrance to the hotel. Parking is gated. Elevators are a bit dated and corridors are a bit smelly."

"The breakfast was tiny but the staff very nice, we changed rooms 3 times, we have never changed rooms in our lives, beds bad, TVs that didn't work, avoid room 124, terrible bed and backs up to the homeless sleeping in the park, my back will never be the same but the staff was awesome"

"Funky little roadside motel. Park right next to your room. Simple no frills but clean and comfortable. If youre just looking for a place to crash and go its perfect"

"As soon as I walked in it was bad, it was smelly, the curtain had a zip tide, there was no screen on the window, when I needed a towel there was nobody around, the front office was locked, I tried getting a refund but it was denied, I spoke with a person on hotels.com and said he can put $75 on key cash and that has not even been inputted, terrible service from the place and also hotels.com"
