"Lobby was nice but could have been kept a little cleaner (we walked in and there was trash on the floor but the lobby clerks were just standing there talking). Clerk did not want to check us in and then text or call us when room was ready- like they do at most hotels. After much convincing, she finally did. No one ever contacted us about the room being ready though. We had to contact them. Common areas were a little beat up (more so than luxury hotels)-scratches in walls and wallpaper, floors were messy. Room was comfortable and clean but doors were beat up and need refinishing. Scratches on walls and wallpaper. Bathroom pocket door was broken with a strange type of quick fix repair. It was a pain to use! Room was spacious. Bedding was relatively comfortable but housekeeping made the bed strange so the covers kept pulling up at the end, leaving feet uncovered, uncomfortable…. View was nice of the river. Gym was small but nicely equipped. The hotel staff just needs to be a little more professional, and the rooms need better upkeep for this hotel to be considered more luxurious and to be rated higher."
