In the 9 days we stayed, we never saw another tourist staying at this hotel. It was full of people that seemed to live there, that seemed unemployed and were a lot of the time sitting in the hallways or stairways watching their cell phones or smoking. Nothing went wrong with these persons, but it didn’t feel like a tourist hotel and we felt a little like fish out of water.
The cleaning service was bad and totally confusing. There was a sign in the room that said that the towels and sheets were changed every 3 days unless you requested differently. But on the days they didn’t change the towels/sheets, they didn’t clean the floors, some days they changed the garbage bags and some others they didn’t, they never made the beds. I actually had to request the bare minimum cleaning service more than once in our stay.
We were staying in a non-smoking bedroom. But there was always a lot of smoke smell in the room. The staff told us that the smell came from the vent, from other rooms that were smoking rooms. Their solution was to give us a deodorant spray.
