“Stayed for 3 nights. Parking at the rear always available, From 'check in' onwards the staff were pleasant, helpful and professional, including carrying our bags to the first floor room. The double room was quite spacious, with it's own short 'hall' to the bath/shower room and door to the main hotel landing, so you enter into a short hall and not straight into the bedroom, nice touch. “Last minute booking at the george lovely hotel with fab breakfast in a gorgeous village. We had the cheapest twin room but hadn’t realised the bathroom was accross the hall from the room when booking. It was okay as we were only their a night. Breakfast was good also would recommend just don’t book that room .”

“The staff were amazing- really helpful and friendly. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfy enough with plenty of pillows. The shower was not so good, with very low water pressure, so it barely dribbled out. There was shower gel and shampoo and conditioner provided, which was useful (even if washing it off was not straightforward!) I hadn’t anticipated getting breakfast, so the basket of fruit, brekkie bars, bagel and pain au chocolat was a real bonus.”

“Hi Jamie is a lovely young lady that runs the pub. Very helpful. The property is an old pub. There’s homemade food but no breakfast. But up the hill is a great cafe called The Hive. Unfortunately due to the heat we had to have window wide open, the problem is that it’s a is a busy road and therefore you hear lots of traffic noise even late at night . The bedroom 2 has a blind on back wall that lets light in from hall way .( I personally would block ) The shared bathroom needs some work (...
