“Delightful stay at the George. A real olde worlde hotel with lots of character. Staff really welcoming. Rooms extremely clean and comfortable. Decoration a bit old but in line with the type of hotel, so no issues. Lovely breakfast and really enjoyed the evening meal. No hesitation in recommending. ”

“Lovely room at top, very spacious, extremely comfortable bed, bathroom spacious. Cooked breakfast was superb and beautifully presented. Staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. Weeny downside, I had already paid via Expedia, my partner didn't realise, and when checking in, whilst I was elsewhere, paid for the room. Luckily he mentioned it later, and it got sorted and refunded. Would definitely stay there again, beautiful old building, and although a pub was very quiet in our room, ...
