"I found the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great with a variety of coffees and teas. There were plenty of hot food items available. I was impressed."

"Staff asked me to scan my card. Then they “had an issue” and asked me to scan it again. I said “I hope you aren’t going to double charge me”. Noticed there were two charges and figured one was a deposit. Bope, they double charged me. Called them on a Tuesday and the assistant manager could see the double charge but couldn’t remove. Said the manager would be there in two hours. Asked for an email, call or text when they refund me. Three days later still no response. I called the hotel two days later bc no response and couldn’t get anyone to answer. Called 17 times that day. "

"The room had a slightly funny smell. So did the hallway. It wasn’t terrible but I noticed it each time I came and went. The HVAC was also very loud. The fridge worked but seemed a little warm to me. Microwave was small and took a while to warm things up. We were near the front desk and heard loud talking around 6am, which woke me up. I don’t think it was from the front desk, so there’s not much they could do about that. It felt dark in the room, the bulbs were very cool/flourescent, so I didn’t want to spend much time in the room. Couldn’t figure out the tv so we just turned it off and went to a movie theatre. The breakfast was better than I expected: waffles, sausage links, eggs, bagels etc. The coffee was better than typical hotel coffee. I stayed here on a college visit to save money, paid $105 per night with taxes. I plan to return to the area and next time I’ll spend a bit more for cleaner smell, better finishes, and better lighting. It wasn’t bad, I would say it was priced right. I usually stay in places that are closer to $150, and I would have been less happy if this cost that much. The staff was very friendly and helpful though, no complaints about them at all! "

"This was a fine and inexpensive property to use while visiting downtown Lynchburg. The hotel is quite dated, and some of it appears to be closed or undergoing construction. Nevertheless, the price point and the location are selling points, and I would certainly stay there again for quick visits to Lynchburg."

"Nice pool! It was perfect during the weird March heatwave, however, they kept the skylight open at night and we were freezing when the sun went down!! "
