"The room had a slightly funny smell. So did the hallway. It wasn’t terrible but I noticed it each time I came and went. The HVAC was also very loud. The fridge worked but seemed a little warm to me. Microwave was small and took a while to warm things up. We were near the front desk and heard loud talking around 6am, which woke me up. I don’t think it was from the front desk, so there’s not much they could do about that. It felt dark in the room, the bulbs were very cool/flourescent, so I didn’t want to spend much time in the room. Couldn’t figure out the tv so we just turned it off and went to a movie theatre. The breakfast was better than I expected: waffles, sausage links, eggs, bagels etc. The coffee was better than typical hotel coffee.
I stayed here on a college visit to save money, paid $105 per night with taxes. I plan to return to the area and next time I’ll spend a bit more for cleaner smell, better finishes, and better lighting. It wasn’t bad, I would say it was priced right. I usually stay in places that are closer to $150, and I would have been less happy if this cost that much. The staff was very friendly and helpful though, no complaints about them at all! "
