โIt was very clean and nicely decorated. The house is a cool old building. The AC worked great (important, as it was super muggy outside.) I was only there for a couple nights but I think it would have worked well for a longer stay. โ
โAll the staff, as soon as we walked in the door, was friendly and helpful. The person checking us in asked us about what we were doing and our travel. I thought that was super nice. The room was everything we needed for our one night stay. This was our 2nd or 3rd time staying at this hotel. โI love this hotel! Being in an old train station that has been beautifully preserved is such an awesome experience. Itโs absolutely beautiful! Our room even had a view of the otter exhibit from the aquarium. This will always be my go to hotel when going to any event at the Enterprise Center. โ
โWhen we pulled in the sign said โHotel Indigoโ. This was disconcerting since I had made reservations at a Holiday Inn Express. I also stayed at the same property in April when it was a Holiday Inn Express. Itโs still an IHG property..
We appreciate the history of this hotel and itโs nice that the renovations celebrate this.. itโs on the National Register of Historic Places as the first motel on Route 66 in St Louis. โ
