"We made our reservation for two rooms through Expedia. When we entered the rooms, we were shocked. Everything was extremely old and dirty. The windows overlooked a demolished building that appeared to be a nesting area for flying insects.
When we complained to the hotel, we were told that no other rooms were available. We then contacted Expedia and spent nearly two hours going back and forth between Expedia and the hotel before our rooms were finally changed.
The replacement rooms were larger and somewhat nicer, but they were still not very clean and were extremely noisy. Both rooms faced a busy street with heavy traffic. Even with the windows closed, the traffic noise was constant and disruptive.
I learned my lesson. I will never make a reservation through Expedia again. In my experience, booking through Expedia resulted in being assigned the least desirable rooms in the hotel."
