โFrom start to finish my stay was great. The front desk clerk was very friendly and helped with finding a place in town for dinner. The room was comfortable, well-maintained, and very clean. The free breakfast was just enough, and the dining area was clean and comfortable as well. The property is five minutes west of downtown Gunnison, so you can't walk to dinner, but the location made it quieter. I would certainly stay at this place again!โ
โNice clean hotel in the middle of nowhere, feels just like home no elevator and all. Get the ground floor if possible. I would definitely stay again โ
โThe staff were absolutely amazing and made our experience the best it could have been.
The hotel is very nice. We found a few dust bunnies in our room so I would have liked to see that be better. Also, we would love to have more options of food in the restaurant. I understand the hotel is going through some renovations soon so that may clear up some of these little issues.โ
โThe balcony view was beautiful. It's open, making it easy to connect with other guests. The space is quiet, clean, and faces the mountains at the back of the property. We especially enjoyed watching the many hummingbirds at the active feeders.
One downside is that there's no way to control the temperature in the room. One of us slept well, while the other woke up feeling hot. If you prefer a cooler sleeping environment, consider bringing a portable fanโand donโt forget an extension...
โThe gentleman working the front counter who checked us in was wonderful! He was very kind and even recommended a dinner spot for us. The hotel itself was cute with a rustic cabin vibe. The location was walking distance to everything else in the area, and there was a beautiful creek behind it. I would absolutely recommend this place.โ
โNot a new cookie cutter hotel, but an authentic carefully managed property with a personal touch. We especially enjoyed the comfort of the lobby where you can use your hotel room card to purchase a glass of wine or a 2 oz shot of booze. The name may be nordic, but I would call it Bavarian. The door in the bathroom was solid wood and the ceiling was wood. The breakfast room was thoughfully organized and the free breakfast was about as good as you can get without a cook.
