"A very pleasant hotel, ideal for exploring Durham and Newcastle. Pros: helpful and friendly staff, a spacious and clean room, and a swimming pool. Unfortunately, there’s an extra charge for parking. From the outside, the building could be better maintained and cleaned (dirty window sills)."

"We love Ramside and visit regularly. Our rooms in recent stays have become a little dated, and could do with a couple of small repairs or touch ups. That being said, we’ll definitely be back."

"The hotel is very well located. The rooms are nicely furnished for an historical building. We enjoyed eating in the hotel reastrant. The staff were all very helpful especially the receptionist."

"Just stayed one night so didn't use amenities or facilities. Room was basic but what we needed for the one night. Spacious family room with plenty of tea and milk provided, however was in an old building so needs an upgrade and a deep clean - lots of cobwebs."
