"What a charming hotel, full of character and perfectly located for exploring the local area. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming, going above and beyond to assist with parking and offering helpful recommendations for local walks and amenities. Our room was stunning, beautifully decorated, spacious, and exceptionally comfortable. Thoughtful touches such as tea and coffee-making facilities, luxurious bath products, and everything needed for a relaxing stay made all the difference. The attention to detail throughout the hotel really enhanced our experience, and it was clear that guest comfort is a top priority. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return."

"Amazingly good value. Super friendly and helpful staff. EV charging for £15 overnight was a bonus. Plus a nice place to stay and a great night's sleep (room was clean, pretty, dark and comfortable super king bed)"
Lumley Castle Hotel

"Perfect for couples. It was quiet with beautiful surroundings. We took a walk to the river from the castle, and it was quiet as though we had the whole grounds to ourselves. The food was delicious and the room was cozy with a spacious bathroom. We were lucky as there was a wedding on and as a result, we were treated to a nighttime fireworks display! For us a 10/10. But be mindful that there is no AC in the room - that didn't bother us but might be an issue for others. Also note it's worth checking if there are events on as we didn't realize that if we had arrived earlier, we could have gone on a tour of the castle and had afternoon tea. We are looking forward to visiting again."

"Room was basic but clean. Most of the staff were very pleasant and friendly especially at breakfast. Breakfast was good with a plenty of choice . Served with a smile . The evening meal some were okay but a few were not so good and the waitress was quite miserable."
