"Excellent hotel within walking distance of the city’s landmarks. Hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and clean. Building was previously a Victorian County Hall and had been converted into a hotel to retain many of the outstanding features. Restaurant provided a wide selection of dishes, which were well presented and delicious. Will definitely return for future visits to Durham."

"Had a great couple of nights stay at the Beamish Park Hotel with our 2 dogs. The welcome at reception was warm friendly and helpful. The staff in the bar and restaurant were hard working, friendly and made time to talk to customers, and especially to our 2 dogs. We would highly recommend a visit."

"Some menu items were small in quantity for their price eg pea ravioli. Rest of menu good. Signage in lifts as to which floor was which difficult especially when the stall said it took them 3 months to get their head around! Overall a good relaxing experience. Thank you."

"We were warmly welcomed by staff who were friendly and helpful. Our room was immaculate with all of the amenities we could have wished for. The restaurant was excellent- again staff very attentive, friendly and had a sense of humour! Breakfast was well worth payimg for-plenty of choice and lots of variety for those with special dietary requirements. We slept soundly as the bed was very comfy! Also really enjoyed access to the spa!Would definitely visit again!"
