Beamish Park Hotel

"This was my second stay and once again the staff were helpful and friendly. The ground floor rooms with patio door access and parking outside was ideal when I travelled with my 88 year old mother. The breakfast was good, as was the evening meal. Perfect location for visiting Beamish. Enjoyed both stays and will be happy to stay again in the future."

"Stayed at Radisson as close proximity to the centre, walking distance in fact. Stayed in a superior room. Very spacious and clean. Parking at hotel a bonus and didn't need to use car again until we departed. Staff so helpful, whether reception, restaurant or housekeeping. Would definitely stay here again when in Durham."

"It was pleasant enough. The staff we encountered were really friendly. The decor is a bit dated. Smelt a bit fusty … but it’s an old building so what do you expect. Lovely grounds. I struggled to sleep as the bed was too soft for me (personal preference). Not sure I’d stay again but did the job for the evening."

Slaley Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort

"Slaley is a grand hotel, outdated in parts, but don't let this put you off. Check in was quick, room spacious and clean. Nice view over looking the driveway. Bars were good and not to expensive. Breakfast was ok,food was fine, but kept running bout. lots of guests and the coffee machines kept running out aswell. Leisure facilities were good, could do with more loungers, but its finding places to put them. Overall had a good might away. Would stay again"
