"Just stayed one night so didn't use amenities or facilities. Room was basic but what we needed for the one night. Spacious family room with plenty of tea and milk provided, however was in an old building so needs an upgrade and a deep clean - lots of cobwebs."

"Liked: Clean Comfy bed Great showers, very hot! Lovely staff Quiet Great location very close to the Durham Cathedral Disliked: Breakfast was average. Over heated pastries and lukewarm cooked breakfast with cold beans on the first morning. Sausages very processed not what I was expecting. Would certainly return but would eat breakfast in town."

"What a lovely place to stay. Our room was on the ground floor , it was a large room which a sliding patio door, we had a super king bed, with bed side tables and the bed when slept in, had no roll together (if you know, you know) ,two comfortable chairs, a small table, long desk and plenty of clothing space, a fan, along with a decent sized TV and a nicely stocked tea/coffee tray.The bathroom was a decent size with a full bath with overhead shower. Room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Oh and we could park our car straight outside our room. If we were to have a little gripe, it would be that although we had a patio door, it could not be left open through the night so air on would have been nice as the fan didn't do much cooling What we saw of the rest of the hotel was also pleasant. We ate at the hotel, evening meal and breakfast, would highly recommend both. All the staff we encountered were as well as being professional, were extremely good and genuinely friendly. All in all, a really lovely stay, one we would happily do again."
