The location is good; right off bus line 31, walking distance to West Lake and beautiful views. One staff person spoke English. The others who didn’t acted professionally but didn’t make any effort to communicate in either Mandarin or English. The walls in the room were chipped away and had mold growing on them. We didn’t have any water available until midnight, and then it took time for hot water to be available. We arrived at 5 pm and they said our room wasn’t ready, we insisted and they allowed us to check in. Posted check in time is 3pm. The lobby bar has really limited choices. Make sure you show up for breakfast we’ll before the ending time as they take everything down right at 9:30. Food past 9:00 was cool and dried up. Our room keys failed several times and we had to reprogram them every time we returned from an outing. Whenever we called the front desk, they would hang up without saying anything and then have someone who spoke English call back. Overall, this property is okay. Perhaps a little overpriced for the quality and service. But the neighborhood and convenience to the area is worth it.

在杭州住兩晚，体现很差，第一晚空調有問題，打五次电话，才愿意换房间。第二晚，室外温度大概掉到14度左右 又把空调关了。原因是室外的氣溫下降了所以空調不能開，要關掉中央空調。結果整個晚上都非常悶熱。

不錯的酒店，但是，煙味比較重
酒店地點好，近西湖，交通尚算方便；酒店房間也大，床，電視，硬件都算不錯；但是，房間煙味重（在不吸煙樓層了），對於不吸煙人士，會比較難受。

Good location
We stayed 2 days over there. Staffs are friendly and helpful in general. The location is very convenient with many restaurants around and only few minutes walking to West Lake. The room we stayed is quite small, maybe it is because of those furnitures inside room. Overall we are happy with the hotel and it is good value for money.

Arrived at night about 9pm and there was only a check in table. The staff was multi-tasking, answering phone calls, replying to other guests,......and it took me about 15mins to check in even as I'm the only 1 checking in at that time. Hotel location is just opposite the west lake which is good given that I get to take a stroll in early morning before rushing off to the airport. Breakfast is average, doesn't really have a big spread.

Hot under the collar
The hotel was modern, clean and the service was impeccable. The location right next to west lake, dining and so much more was fantastic. The only problem, and it was a big one for me, was that it was unseasonably warm and my room was 85 degrees F. Hotel management informed me that it was their hotel tradition not to turn on air conditioning in the evening. After two encounters, I settled for an electric fan that I stuck in the window to draw out hot air. It made an otherwise fantastic visit nearly unbearable.

A premium-location hotel with reasonable price
This hotel is located in an excellent location, near Xihu and city center. Good to sight-seeing and to look for restaurants. The hotel room is clean and is really non-smoking. (note that in China, some hotels' non-smoking room still has cigarette smell). The room condition quite matches with hotels.com picture. Refer to other similar hotel nearby, the price is quite reasonable. However, the breakfast needs to be improved to fit foreigner tastes. The choice is not much. Overall, this hotel is recommended.

房間乾淨，但床略為偏硬。離西湖和南宋御街很近，很方便。周遭環境也安靜。也適合家庭出遊居住。下次到杭州，我會再度把它列為考慮飯店。

Excellent location, very good breakfast, the room is a little small but comfortable. The only problem is their A/C! I set the temperature to the lowest but still not cool enough.

本來酒店不錯，可惜空調是中央系統，不能自己調較溫度。
還可以的。由於第一次房間安排不善，前台第二天馬上跟我們升級換房，是值得欣賞的; 同時由於人生路不熟，在諮詢行程方面，前台用心介紹西湖的遊玩好去處，對我這客人幫助不少，值得加許的。

西湖の東側にあり、最寄りのメトロから歩いて15分くらいで着きました。部屋は清潔で、素敵でした。朝ごはんは、口に合うものと合わないものと、両方ありました。エッグタルトやロールケーキが美味しかったです。あと、ヨーグルト（固形タイプと飲むタイプ）両方美味しかったです！！

OK hotel by West Lake
A bit dated hotel, inside and out, very close to West Lake, and not very easy to find. Staff was very helpful (although not very proficient in English). I forgot a sweater in the room and the staff figured it out and hurried downstairs while I was waiting for my taxi. Breakfast can be skipped. Priced well considering the position.

Located just beside Xihu, can walk 1 to 2 hours to see most of the spotlights. and near to the old rail station where you can easy to take the high speed train for your movement. not mention you can take 15 min. by walk to visit night market and famous walking street. Hotel facilities are new and well maintained. But less choice of non-smoking rooms which you need to pay for upgrade the room. Will stay here when comes to Hangzhou.
