My room was perfect with a perfect view. My first stay in June was for 6 nights and this stay in August was for 6 nights. You step out of the hotel directly to your safe boardwalk and it is located next to the town for all you needs and comfort โ
โI didn't know what to expect when booking (got a great deal through expedia) it also came up as a 2star (which personally I never go for) but it looked fine (better than dated / tired alternatives in the area) so thought I'd give it a go and I'm glad I did.

From the thoughtful details to luxurious surroundings loved the self controlled heated towel rail in the bathroom and the gorgeous free fluffy dressing gown to wear everywhere and stylish tote and matching flip flops! Food scrumptious too which was added surprise! โ
โWe really enjoyed our overnight stay at West Lodge. We had a tranquil garden room so there was no outside noise at all. We also enjoyed being one of two couples in the dining room. Upon ringing the bell the owner arrived promptly and took our orders for cooked breakfast. It soon arrived and was of excellent quality. We will definitely book again if we are in the locality.โ

Just as a note the rooms are up steep stairs at the back of the pub which wouldn't be suitable for anyone with a mobility issueโ

โThe hotel itself could do with some upgrading, rooms need a mini fridge and bar doesnt offer rhe widest drink selection, but there is a pub across the road to make up for this. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming and this definitely added to what was overall a very pleasant place to stay for one night. โ
โWe have stayed at DoubleTree many times. Reception staff are always welcoming. Evgenia is always friendly and helpful. She has checked us in on our last three visits.
As a side note, we have witnessed a guest being quite rude to her and she communicated with them in such a professional manner.
We sometimes request a room up-grade and the hotel has always been able to accommodate, even if it is for a specific room, so thank you House-keeping staff.
