Top Hill Country Hotel Reviews
Hampton Inn by Hilton Austin East Side 5th Street
8/10 Good
"The stay was alright for the most part. No frills for sure. Our mini fridge broke during the course of our stay, causing our groceries to spoil. The staff didn’t seem to care and refused to refund us or swap rooms because we booked third party. They said they would get maintenance to fix our mini fridge but this was false. Also, the parking situation was precarious. Free street parking, but at your own peril. There were cars right down the street from where we street parked that were broken into. I think I will avoid this hotel for my next stay."

Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa
10/10 Excellent
"My husband and I stayed at Lost Pines for my baby moon and had a relaxing stay. The entire property felt like you were being transported away to a secluded retreat. Facilities were clean and the staff were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the lazy river (recommend going early in the morning before 10am and after 6pm for a quieter and cooler experience) and the evening smores. They even had a family movie playing on the lawn every night. I also enjoyed how close we were to Austin proper. It was only a 30-40min drive into downtown. So we had the opportunity to enjoy some local restaurants. The one criticism I have was the paved walking trail. There was a recent rainstorm in the hill country which brought through a lot of mud. There were some parts of the path that were still completely caked in dirt with uneven walking surfaces. The areas were completely dried at this point but had not been cleared. There were also several areas where the grass and bushes had not been trimmed back, making it hard to navigate through the walkways. One area had an overhanging tree that had been knocked over. Overall enjoyed my experience and am marking Lost Pines as a resort to visit again."
