"We recently stayed at Waves Hotel for four nights, and unfortunately, our experience did not meet our expectations.Upon arrival on May 16th, the room we received did not match what was on the website. May 17th was my son's birthday, and we had requested room decorations to celebrate. While the staff did sing "Happy Birthday" that evening, the decorations were not provided. On May 18th, we encountered a issue when our toilet overflowed, resulting in our room being covered in water. The maintenance team responded promptly and handled the cleanup efficiently. May 19th, my husband's birthday, and again, we requested room decorations and a birthday cake. Unfortunately, the cake was only delivered after I had to remind the staff multiple times. Later that morning, we inquired about the water taxi service and were informed that there was a daily limit of six guests allowed to visit other all-inclusive resorts, a detail we were not made aware of upon check-in. It took nearly two hours for a supervisor to arrive to address our concerns. Thankfully, Stephon was able to resolve the issue with professionalism. However, my experience with Zoe, was disappointing. I noticed a lack of greeting when I approached the front desk, despite her welcoming a British Caucasian guest shortly after me. (Be careful who you mistreat. You never know who knows who and which guest isnt a guest 🙂) Aside from this interaction, the majority of the staff were friendly and attentive. "Our room was great, clean and modern finishings. The pools were a little disappointing, there are three advertised however one is a kiddie pool and the other is for guests 16 and up only so we were confined to one pool the entire time (my daughter is 14) and it's only chest deep. The hotel has good parking, all the cleaning staff were wonderful, same with the restaurant staff. The food could be a little better for the price, it was still good, but just good and highly expensive. The property and area is quite safe, very clean beach and the nightly entertainment was very good."

"The staff are amazing! The hotel was very comfortable. Having a shuttle for pick up and drop off access was a huge help! The breakfast buffet was delicious. Varies options and organic juices. The restaurant lamb was ON POINT! Drinks were affordable. A perfect stay for a business trip or vacation. I will definitely be returning when I come back to Barbados. "

"Hotel showing its age in spots and could use a few touch ups. Front desk tells you they pull amounts charged to room after 7 days. This isn’t true. They pull random amounts almost daily. Difficult to figure out what the charges are for and to monitor. Suggest pay as you go to keep track. Amounts will eventually disappear but it makes it confusing. Beware cost of convenience food in cafe. $15 USD for a larger bag of Lay’s potato chips. Breakfast good. Bar food good. Fine dining is not. Careenage bar food hit and miss. Suggest Champers and Buzo’s. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They make a huge difference as service is not always like that in some spots in Barbados."
