“The room was spacious, warm, and ideal for 2 people. All the staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable with the local area. Food breakfast excellent choice, evening - good choice available throughout the menu. ”

“Our stay was a journey down memory lane for me. The hotel was still lovely and popular, the room was clean and albeit small as a twin, it was in keeping with such a historic building and the lady on the bar, who checked us in couldn’t be more welcoming. The kitchen even catered amazingly for a veggie and a vegan option breakfast. The hotel is centrally located for the beautiful village of Eyam’s history trail, tea rooms and local walks with good parking facilities. ”

“We didn’t have hot water for the whole of our stay. We were told it would come back on after the first day and it did not. The next time they said it we wanted to shower we had to do it in another room, however they asked us to share this room key with other people which wasn’t what we thought when booking. The radiator also didn’t work for the whole duration for the stay and as it was a rainy day we struggled having no heating or hot water. Half way through getting ready to go out on the second...

“We had a wonderful stay, the staff were very welcoming, the room comfortable and well appointed, even down to a dog bowl being available. The breakfast bag was very welcome, as well as a coffee machine for the morning. We'll hopefully be back sometime!”

“What an absolute little slice of paradise! G was a fantastic host making sure we got to our field alright and showed us how everything worked before leaving us too it. We had the most relaxing night looking out at hills by the fire and the hot tub and sauna were an absolute luxury. We were even surprised with how warm the tent got, it was super cosy during the overnight rainstorm and I'm already thinking of when we can get back there already!
