"Overall, this is a good resort with good food, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and a nice beach area. The pool is on the smaller side, but that didn’t bother us. The only downside for us was the lack of entertainment. Compared to other resorts we’ve visited, this one felt quite limited. Each night there was a singer in the lobby, but her performances were fairly mediocre and not engaging at all for a young crowd unfortunately. Only 2–3 nights featured a short show (about 45–50 minutes) in the ballroom, and those were scheduled around 7–8 PM, right when most people are heading to dinner. If your goal is to relax and unwind, this resort is a great choice but if you want more entertainment and fun, probably not a good choice. "

"Thee staff was friendly and helpful. Approaching my inquiries with smiles, accommodations and professionalism. One of the young men , in particular, I think his name was Marcelino, was amazing. I was brought to the office, next to the showroom with a minor problem and watched how well he diffused a situation that presented with 2 adults demanding the use of a wheelchair for their adult son. I appreciated the use of water bottles and easy availability for refilling, of drinking water at the elevators! I’m sure this eliminated a lot of waste. Both pools were lovely, and had bars but it was nice to have a quiet , adults only pool bar for a more low key environment. I had a very enjoyable stay. "

"The property is beautiful and the staff is very helpful. Miguel and Antonio were particularly engaging and made us feel so welcome. Loved the room, the pools, the vibe. The only “complaint” would be how much the gift shop employees are all over you. Backing off a bit and letting people browse would make for a much better experience- and probably lead to more sales! In all, I would recommend this Riu and I plan on booking another trip. "

"We had to call everyday and ask for the fridge to be stocked towels and wash cloths food was less than mediocre. We were suppossed to get robes and slippers with the room we had to ask and the robes had no belts and the slippers looked used..there were not enough towels for the beach. Highly recommend you go somewhere else. Extremely disappointed stagf was unfriendly and really didn't care. Mirror in bathroom had black mold the frame "

"A bit rundown. Although exterior seems well maintained our room was very basic and badly needed an update especially the bathroom. Staff are mostly friendly and helpful but front desk is understaffed and can be less than friendly at times. The check-in process is overly bureaucratic and time consuming and there is a constant stream of people needing to have their magnetic-card room keys reprogrammed as they quit working after a day or two."

"Cannot think of one bad thing about this resort! (Ok, if I had to be picky, the linens and pillows weren’t the best and the time share concierge was a little pushy but)…overall this was a pretty perfect stay. It is large, immaculately clean, the main pool is HUGE…. And the food was so much better than I thought it would be! Seriously some good eats… the sushi, breakfast and fish tacos were delicious and so was Hacienda Sisal. Service was great too… every day our room was cleaned and we had new bottles of water. We had so much fun. Hope to be back!!!!"
