“Room 309 was comfy and spacious for what I needed to attend Bute pride . Only negatives despite it been a pride weekend on the Isle of Bute was one of the staff who was in his 60s with glasses gave me an intense stare and look of disapproval during my stay at the Victoria hotel Lager cans as rubbish left in a wardrobe in room 309 and not enough milk and sugar in the room to make a coffee . I’d rate the hotel 6 out of 10 score wise as it was nice but dated in room 309 and I spotted a few damp...

“I loved the views from the terraces. Breakfast was excellent as was all food. Let down with not enough staff in the Orangery although the staff that was there worked tirelessly ”

“The hotel owners/hosts, Sharon and John were very welcoming and friendly including Sharon offering to drive me to a local restaurant and later coming back to collect me. The Continental breakfast was generous, varied and more than enough to satisfy and set you up for the day! When I am next in that area, I’ll certainly book to stay at the Ashbank and shall make the recommendation for others to do so too!”

“Beautiful B&B, with comfy bed, excellent pillows, absolutely excellent breakfast and lovely hosting. The whole place is immaculate. We stayed for our first night on the Isle before heading off on the coastal way. It's a short walk from the ferry terminal and has a lovely view over the water. It was the perfect way to spend our first night and rest up / get fuelled up! ”

“Small, friendly, helpful & clean. Room very comfortable with everything you would need for a short stay. Only comment was that there was no long mirror in the room. The one in the assessable room was in the toilet/shower room & therefore became less assessable when the toilet was in use plus became very steamed up & unable to be used. Such a small thing so not a problem & we would definitely use this hotel again. Dinner was very nice as was breakfast with plenty of choice. Loved the little bar...
