"Our first time at Daiwa Hotel. It’s not as convenient as staying near Shinjuku Station. The Nishinshinjuku station is not very far, but it's a bit of a walk. The lobby is very nice and clean. The staff is very professional and helpful. The floor we stayed on, the hallway was dark. Things that made the hotel less enjoyable was the room, the entrance has a oder smell (used old socks smell) and the bathroom shower smelled like it has plumbing problems. We had to run the water first before taking a shower. Sometimes the smell doesn’t go away. I hope it’s just in our room. The AC works fine. They have a lot of washers/dryer, that was a plus. Didn’t have to wait for one. I love the 7/11 right on the basement floor."
