"Our stay at Beachside Inn Shirahama was wonderful. It is such a friendly yet laid-back place with clean airy rooms and only a two-minute walk to the beach. The breakfast is tasty and the private hot baths are a fabulous bonus. Highly recommend!"

"Hale Kai is a well designed guest house with the combination of Traditional Japanese style and Hawaiian style! It was really comfortable and relaxed during our stay. The owner are hospitalized and extremely friendly. Everything we need were prepared in the guest house. Moreover, the location is perfect because it is only a 5 mins walk from the Motomachi port and most of the souvenir shops, restaurants,and hot spring places can be access within 10 mins walk!! Highly recommended!!"

"It was nice staying at this guest house Shirahama. It was only a few minutes drive from the Shirahama Beach. Also the restaurant was nice. Breakfast was only 500 Yen, but it was really delicious! The staff were polite and friendly, and the room was clean and quiet. I will definitely stay there again."

"Positives: - The owner is a kind, sweet old man who treats you like a guest in his own house. - The rooms are large, with the -02 rooms being especially large - The -01 rooms come with a view towards the ocean (though not exactly an ocean view) through large windows, with blackout curtains. - The beds and pillows are comfortable, even by Western hotel standards - The rooms seem to have been recently renovated, and are cleaned well. "The food served was great and a big amount (but not as ridiculously large as our experience elsewhere). There are private onsen you can hire for 50 mins. Nice staff. "

The car park was very close to the property as well as the station being one minute away. The beach is also a one minute walk. I highly recommend this property for both small and large groups. "
