“Lovely, well maintained hotel, pool and gardens . The staff committed , knowledgeable and friendly. Dinners in the History restaurant were without exception delicious, especially the First Class Railway Mutton Curry which was outstanding. These were preceded by a visit to the bar, over which knowledgeable barmen preside. All in all, a wonderful stay and the next door ferry was never a problem for us, indeed we think we will miss the throbbing motor which we found quite comforting. ”

The shower was amazing, just what you needed after being in the heat of Kochin. All staff are polite, helpful and will go the extra mile. The General Manager was exceptional, we had a couple of minor issues which were dealt with immediately, again an above and beyond attitude displayed. We will return to this hotel and recommend...

“The front desk and staff were excellent. The room did not have fresh linen when we checked it, and the bedding had stains and was not fresh. The front desk was courteous and changed the bedding with fresh linen on our request. The restaurant is nice, the location is convenient, and overall the property and staff are very good. ”

“Cleaner than mist other hotels we stayed at in India. Western toilet and great shower with good water pressure. Room had kettle, TV with BBC News and a hairdryer. Dinner was very reasonable and good breakfast very limited western choices and after a month of Indian breakfast I appreciate some western choice even in India. Literally next door to shopping mall and only 70p auto ride to the ferry terminal to fort Cochin or to walk along the waterside walkway which is a nice tree lined...

We booked this hotel because the pictures looked great and it had good reviews, however, we would not say that this was a 4 star hotel.
