"I highly recommend Plat Hostel!!! I had a fantastic stay here. The location of this hostel is a short walk (less than 10 mins with heavy luggage) from the station, and you can take the super cute Enoden line train to get there. Equally, the beach is also less than 10 minutes away. I really liked this beach, it felt a lot more local than over touristy, despite being so close to Kamakura. Lots of surfers, joggers and dog walkers in the mornings too as well as the summer beach bars. The hostel itself was super super clean. I loved the contemporary design and the fact that it had so many amenities (wash room, roof top, work space, kitchen). I stayed in a solo room, which again had a modern aesthetic and was super clean. But on passing by, it looked as though the shared bunk rooms also looked really nice. Over all I had a very comfortable stay. Staff were really helpful, professional and welcoming too which is always great when travelling. Also, I loved the general location, lots of amenities nearby and lots of great independent shops and cafes, plus Kamakura and other touristy places close by as well."
