"What a lovely place to stay, old country house with plenty of garden / woodland walks immediately outside. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Great value for money.

"Very nice property very clean throughout. 3 sinle beds in room, 55"TV, Fridge in room with access to Kitchen. Plenty of on street parking. Bus stop just outside to city centre with chip shop and Tesco a few minutes down the road.
Recommend property and would stay again."
"Close to City centre and University of Leicester. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room and shared bathroom were clean but basic. Value for money and would book again."
"The staff did there best in what is not a very nice place. The whole building was a mix of transit and famillies arriving sugestion temporary accomodation. It appeared to be an office block conversion but i could be wrong. for a group of young people crashing for a night.. .this could be OK ... for a familly ... seriously look elsewhere "

10/10 Excellent
"Hotel is spotless throughout. Staff friendly and breakfast delicious."
"When I got the the property I realised it is not an actual hotel per-se, but rather a dormitory for students where it seems they rent out the vacant rooms. Upon (finally) being shown to my room I was in a 4 bedroom dorm with a communal kitchen, but an en-suite bathroom. The common areas where dirty and hadn't been hoovered in a while, as well as the room I was shown. The room had a desk-like counter top, but no chair. Check in was supposed to start at 3, and I didn't arrive until after 6, but the bed still had no linens on it, no pillows, and the bathroom had no towels or anything. The "bed" was a homemade wooden platform to hold the thin, worn out spring matteress that would have been uncomfortable. I say "would have been" because I DID NOT STAY. The person checking me in had the wrong key for me (I was in room B, but had been given the key for room D) and when she left to go get the correct key I quickly made a reservation elsewhere. It was hot, with a tiny window that opened a sliver. The person who helped me was pleasant, given that it looked like she was very busy as there were always three or four people hovering around looking for help. It is Leicester, but the location seemed especially sketchy too. I wrote regarding my dissatisfaction and inquired about a refund as the location had been misrepresented. Communication has been spotty at best, with no definitive answer (I don't think). Only one short "we don't handle transactions here" message."
"Did not feel safe here.
“Restaurant” consisted of microwaved pizza or pasta - there is no kitchen.
This place is more like a hostel. Tiny room. Dark hallway off of the parking lot, up a flight of stairs was the “reception”. Unsavoury characters hanging out in lobby tried to corral my 78 year old mom outside at night.
Within a few hours of being there we told reception we were checking out next day.
Because we booked on Hotels.com and had to prepay our stay, the Ibis is refusing to refund our other two nights.
This is absolutely unacceptable.
Hotels.com needs to do better and insist on refunding the balance of our stay.
The Ibis should not even be on this booking site.
The “good” reviews are untrue.
Avoid like the plague.
