Wake up early and enjoy the sun dancing in the rim of Crater Lake until Wizard Island is lit. Visit in winter for less crowds but make sure you pack snowshoes. #snow

Sometimes you can get a good look at Crater Lake while flying up or down the west coast.
I have never seen anything as magically blue as the water of Crater Lake in Oregon. Everyone told us we needed to go here, still we weren't expecting much more than a pretty lake. But Crater Lake is so much more than that. With no rivers flowing in or out of the lake, all the water is collected via rain and snow melt. Therefore it's some of the cleanest and clearest water in the world. It is truly one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. #oregon #craterlake #blue #nationalpark
