โDinner at the restaurant is fantastic! The Chocolate tour (5 min walk) was a great mid morning tour and very interesting - make and eat your own chocolate! The walk up to La Fortuna was challenging so ask for a ride of you need one. The owner was incredibly helpful and was able to get me a day pass to Baldi Springs for the locals rate :) โ
โThe staff were incredible. The pictures are amazing, but the view in person IS EVEN BETTER! You have to go and see for yourself. The included breakfast is also amazing food!

โOMG! We just loved Chongos Place! The cabins are so cute and beautiful, clean with all necessities. The porch with the hammock was just our favorite place. The plants right outside the porch invite these beautiful hummingbirds and butterflies that we got to observe up close! And the pool was amazing, we spend hours in it each day. Great if you have kids (my daughter never wanted to leave the pool!)
And to top it all... the view of the Arenal is breathtaking.

โThis 2 story rental villa has a great view of Volcan Arenal from the second story. It overlooks a farm with elephant grass used for grazing animals. The location is about 2 km south of the center of La Fortuna, so a car is necessary. It is close to several of the tour outfitters that do canyoneering and rafting. It is initially hard to see on your first visit (look for the Sapiens sign on Ruta 702) because the group of 3 houses are set 70 meters south of the road and accessed via a thin 1 lane...
โBeautiful property. Is it a 5 star resort no but for the area and country it was. It provided my daughter and I a wonderful place to stay, feel safe, relax, and enjoy the beauty of Costa Rica.
There was maintenance going on but nothing that dampened our experience. They are expanding and thats great. All the workers were friendly and ecen when they were doing landsacaping they never came to our lodge when we were home so there was no feeling of our privacy being invaded.
