"We were given a room that was full of mildew. When we turned on AC to help it too smelled of mold. When I spoke to manager she said previous person did not complain, which just tells me they have poor quality control. (And that she was dismissing my concern). My son started coughing due to conditions and we talked to front desk about checking out early. Turns out when we first arrived I signed a form allowing no early check outs. Just make sure you look at room before you sign their paperwork. After we complained they moved us to a room more in keeping with how the rooms were advertised. So I think we were given a room that had not been renovated yet. In short, I agree with some of the other reviews, motel quality and staff not very friendly. Also if healthy food important to you- be aware they have margarine not butter, not the freshest ingredients. I thought given price, I was paying for better quality that just wasn’t there. For additional context- the sheets were thin, had stains, and back porch had sewer smell. "

"Breakfast was fantastic every morning. Great variety to suit everyone. The entire property was spotless, including the room!! Everything is very well maintained. Majority of staff were incredibly friendly, polite and helpful. Drinks at the bar were lovely and happy hour every evening was a nice surprise, although the menu is much smaller. "

"Paradise was a totally unique resort and experience. We loved the hot springs with varying temperatures. Amenities at the resort were great including the coffee bar swim up bar and breakfast buffet. The staff was so friendly and helpful."

"Beautiful property with lush gardens & the best thermal pools we found in all of La Fortuna. For the price, you get a lot. The pools are exceptional. The location is perfect, just outside of town, but not too far. You can easily take a taxi to the center of town for under $10 dollars. The room are spacious & clean. The breakfast was varied & delicious. Food in Pyramides restaurant is inedible; please skip. Hotel is very stingy with towels. We were 3 people & only received 1 hand & face towel for all 3 of us to share. Rooms have a lot of frosted glass with no blackout shades so expect the sun to wake you up at 6 AM. Take ear plugs & eye mask if you want to sleep in because the chirping birds & light coming in will definitely wake you up early. It is a long walk form the lobby to the rooms, but there are golf carts to take you if needed. I recommend moving in taxis instead of Uber because Ubers are not regulated or inspected for safety. The hotel called an Uber for us that had broken seatbelts & door had to be opened from the outside. We noticed every time we asked for a taxi, staff tried to push for Uber because they have relatives they call to take you. Taxis felt safe & vehicles were better. Overall, pleased with our stay. Definitely recommend this property if you are seeking excellent thermal pools. "

"The rooms were nice and cozy own privacy as the rooms were seperated from other guests rooms. The staff was wonderful and very attentive in room upkeep as well as recommending activities to do. You also, get to see wildlife nearby which makes it more relaxing. Overall great experience!"

"We stayed in one of the cute, little cabins. It was very clean and comfortable. It had terrific views of the volcano and great sunsets. The breakfast had a variety of food items to choose from and was quick so that we could start the days adventures. It was in a convenient location to drive to tours and La Fortuna town. "

"Compact resort with everything close. Room was spacious. Don't remember any extra seating. Shower head is the heater so you always have warm water if you don't turn water up to high. Hot Pools were a little disappointing, though it was a cloudy day. There are 4 heated with each flowing into the next so the first is warmest. When we arrived, hot water was not flowing into #1 by the bar but was still tolerable temp. #2 could be tolerated a brief time, but 3&4 were cool/cold. After dinner the hot water waterfall was turned on and #1 became much more enjoyable. Dinner was convenient and good for the one day we tried it. Can eat on patio by pool, or lobby dining area. Breakfast was good, basic with mainly Costa Rica options."
