"The hotel was undergoing renovations during our stay. Although our room was not ready when we arrived, the staff made every effort to accommodate us and keep us informed. We were given a complimentary upgrade to a beautifully renovated room with a balcony and stunning ocean views. While the A/C had not yet been installed, leaving the balcony door slightly open kept the room comfortable, and we slept very well. The breakfast was okay. The location was lovely; walking distance to restaurants and the beach."

"An absolute dream stay right on the beach! If you're traveling with kids, this location is unbeatable and super accessible. The food at the restaurant was delicious, but the real highlight for us was the huge courtyard and patio. The kids had a blast playing cornhole, ping-pong, and foosball while we relaxed by the firepits in the evening. There was a bit of daytime construction noise from one side of the hotel, but it didn't get in the way of our fun. We'd definitely stay here again!"

"Property was being remodeled, so it was a little sketchy. Parking was hit or miss and we were charged $20 per night. Over all we loved the location and the staff were great.."

"The usual $6 water and “resort” fee, no mini-bar, and a long, hard walk to the remote rooms, Still, one of the most pleasant, relaxing properties in the country. A classic old school La Jolla hotel."
