โI loved how quiet and peaceful this hotel was! The entire staff was so friendly and helpful. It was such a relaxing stay, I would highly reccomend.โ
โThe only issue we had was with the shower. The door doesnโt close all the way and a lot of water would end up on the floor going through all the cracks. โ
โOverall very satisfactory, access to patio area and being able to ventilate the room myself are greatest among all other hotels. But the main reason for choosing this hotel was gym. great machines.โ

โLoved the stay . Great place but expensive. Could do better with food service. Staff was excellent but evidently due to the food being brought in from outside restaurant , breakfast took awhile . Would still stay there again though.

โThe hotel located by the La hoya beach road had an amazing location first and foremost. Additionally, the condition of Room 4 was much cozier and cleaner than what I had seen in the pictures, and I felt welcomed. Even though there was no one at the front desk during check-in, there were no difficulties in using the hotel due to prior text messages. โGem of a place! Clean, rooms are big, restaurants close, beach right out your door. What else can you ask for?! If I had to pick something I would say the coffee downstairs is yucky and they only have powdered creamer. โ
โAn older Tudor-style hotel, kept in sparkling clean condition with modern touches. Comfy bed and bedding, a Keurig coffee maker (with STRONG java), and a nice, spacious shower. Staff are very friendly as well.โ
โUpon arrival, the front desk staff were friendly and very helpful, assisting us with securing our two-day parking pass for our stay. The location of this hotel is prime, and we easily walked to everything. Our room was very quiet, and the bed was comfortable. Dining was both excellent and convenient: daily hot breakfast included and a top-rated restaurant for dinner inside the hotel. I would definitely recommend staying at the Empress Hotel when visiting La Jolla and we plan to stay here again.โ
