“From the moment we checked in, we felt welcome and in a relaxing space. The owners of this boutique hotel have put much effort into making it a special place that exudes calm and kindness. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and quiet at night (the walls are thick, so one doesn't hear the neighbors). The interor garden with a pool is a lovely refuge. The hotel is close to many good restaurants and just a short walk to the lovely water of the lagoon. We highly recommend...

“A nice sized clean room. The breakfast was buffet style. Eggs were served in different styles daily. Plenty of choices for most people. Walking distance to both the ADO bus and Centro. Plenty of outdoor areas. Lots of table and chairs and loungers. The pool was too cold for me but the weather had been cool so maybe on a warmer day. Lake access was only a few hundred meters away at a free pier by the Eco Parque entrance. ”

“One of the coolest places we’ve ever stayed. Amazing jungle setting, super cool rooms with amazing decor, romantic lighting, thatch walls, outdoor shower, awesome plunge pool at the front door. We loved the cats everywhere, the open air reception lounge, awesome, friendly staff and beautiful lagoon. This place was like a super cool, semi fancy Gilligans island. If you like boring, beige, generic hotel chains, don’t come here. ”

“Jungla Bacalar was a little slice of heaven. Peaceful, clean, lovely macrame art by Leti hanging everywhere, great breakfast, right near the lagoon, and really lovely hosts and guests. Book it! You won’t be disappointed!”

“We were really pleased with our stay at the AGAM - it was well located about a five minute walk to the lagoon and ten minutes to the zócalo. The hotel is beautifully kept with a nice pool and garden, and clean and stylish rooms. The bed was comfortable, though a little on the firm side. Breakfast was really nice, and the staff were fabulous. We had help booking tours, and when there was a medical emergency they really went above and beyond to help sort out some logistics.
