"Nice continental breakfast in the morning. We were in a king room on the first floor and loved our room. We had really high ceilings. The hotel is really neat and you feel like your back in time. They have a nice restaurant with a beautiful deck. There is a tar path that runs in front of the hotel that you can go biking on or for a walk. Staff were fine. Nice but didnt go out or their way to be overly friendly."

"The rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable. It is more of an Inn located very near the Madeline Island Ferry and the Apostle Island tour. There was a beautiful sunrise over the water. We were on the 2nd floor with a private balcony. I would stay there again."

"The room was just about perfect for what we were looking for. Nice kitchenette, bed was comfortable, air conditioning worked well and this was a very nice location for the walk on the path into town. Only 10 minutes and we were in the midst of the restaurants and also the boat tour and ferry to Madeline Island."

"The manager at this hotel was fantastic She greeted us with such enthusiasm and helpfulness it was just amazing . You can see her staff looks up to her as well...The motel is just a motel But She makes this place special... Ashland is lucky to have her."

"Booked the Blue Wave for a last minute trip. Was an absolute gem and the owners have clearly put a lot of thought into making the property a great place to stay. Didn’t anticipate an after hours check in but was given correct and easy to follow directions. Getting into the room right before sunset was amazing. The view of the bay can’t be beat. While I didn’t get to try the onsite cafe or the fire pits, everything looked well maintained. Would highly recommend choosing the Blue Wave for a more quaint and charming stay!"
