Evergreen Lodge Yosemite

"Wonderful almost serene place. It is rustically beautiful. Good food is in short supply in these mountains yet Evergreen has it. As to the folks working there they are very good. It’s not easy to train seasonal staff but Evergreen has mastered as well as any. Because of its location I have been coming to Evergreen for over 40 years and watched it slowly transform from a somewhat rough place to a charming place to seek a respite from the world and its troubles. I highly recommend visiting it."

"Closest affordable location to Yosemite National Park. 30 minutes to drive into the park. Room was clean, great A/C and good shower. Location was helpful to visit the park by leaving early in the day, getting back at noon and getting back at the park in the afternoon once the heat of the summer goes down along with the crowds. Breakfast if offered at the hotel restaurant, but I would recommend to have a better breakfast inside the park. Dinner was better at the restaurant than breakfast for the price"

"Good spot if you can’t find anything closer to the Yosemite entrance. Better than Mariposa Lodge, IMO. Clean. Easy to get on the way to YNP. It’s still far from the park tho. Worth it to find something closer if you can afford a few extra bucks. The distance does take a toll for a 4 day trip. If 1 or 2 days, the distance is bearable for someone that is fit enough for the almost 1hr drive from YNP."
