"Great staff, excellent location, generous breakfast spread, brand new bathroom and bedroom in my room, it’s obvious they take pride on the inside of the building. View outside my window not so great - although it’s not their property, sad this is the image people see of beautiful San Diego. Also very close to trains/tracks and can hear that all night."

"Every time I visited the receptionist desk area, it was a different gentleman that was there. Some were rude and some were very nice. They didn’t allow me to check-in early and my room looked clean, but when the moment that I pulled my chair out, there was a pair of boxer briefs on it. The receptionist was nice enough to upgrade my room. However, the noises were so loud at night and a random stranger knocked on my door at 10pm in the middle of the night with his back turned against the door. He was just quietly staying there for a few minutes and I called the reception desk to check it out. I couldn’t sleep the rest of the night and I was horrified due to being a solo traveler. I attempted to check out the very next morning and got refunded for the other 2 nights that I am not staying. I was provided with a receipt and the receptionist told me to check with Expedia because sometimes the refund would not reflect since I booked it on here. But it’s been 3 business days and I still have not received the refund. "
