"The room was clean but had two separate portable air fans in use! The room was very warm( it is good weather in Edinburgh), but try sleeping with two air fans on! The building is going thru renovations so scaffolding everywhere, this view was impeded( glad I wasn’t staying during weekdays as I dread to hear the noise!), and shower head was leaking! Also couldn’t get the HDMI plus to work! Then, the big issue!! No parking!! U have to go to a car park about 10 or more mins away, so if u have suitcases….oh boy, trying to drag them on the cobblestones of Edinburgh!!! The hotel do not seem to offer a shuttle service of any type! Poor thinking on there behalf. I stay at Hilton hotels globally and this is easily the worst ever, so I wouldn’t recommend it"

"The property can be challenging, we stayed in a spa 1 bedroom which was on the 8th floor except the hotel elevator doesn’t go to this set of rooms, you have to to get off on 8 and then go up another 2 flights of stairs which was a lot with luggage. We went through the elevator, 2 flights of stairs and, 5 sets of doors before we got to the room, so challenging for us. The room itself was fine but the wall was crumbling by the window and the view was a huge machine. So not ideal. The staff were lovely they helped with the bags. Not much going on at this hotel. It is next to a cemetery, that was one window view we did get. Spooky. You are very close to Carlton Hill so we did do sundown. Its a 1 minute walk. This location was good, you’re a bridge away from the old town."

"We found the Ibis Hotel on South Bridge to be perfect for our stay in Edinburgh. The front desk staff were excellent, assisting us with booking a taxi and answering any questions. We appreciated the tea in our room daily. The all you can eat buffet breakfast had a great variety of options."

"Nice locations. Near the train station and tram spot within a 5 minute walk. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance. The on site restaurant was quite good as well. Check in was easy and they have AC which was great as the weather was unseasonably warm. The only down side was noise. Wanting to stay in a hotel a bit outside the busy areas in a quieter neighbourhood so it would be less noisy didn’t work out. The hotel doors slam closed so if someone leaves or comes back at 3 in your hallway you’re going to know about it. We also had to move rooms as we were near a loading dock and they received deliveries at 6am everyday so we were woken up early everyday. If your a deep sleeper or sleep with ear plugs your probably good. The beds were comfy and it’s pretty updated. Bathroom could use a little love as the toilet had some chips and marks, same with the bathtub. I would stay again but maybe on a higher floor then the 1st"
