“We stayed here for one night during our California & Portland road trip. The room is clean & spacious for our family. The front desk staff (Sam) was curtous and helpful. The 18-holes mini golf next door was fun. Check-in and checkout was also quick and easy. The morning to-go breakfast is pretty basic though, including yogurt, juice box, snack bars, and coffee /tea. Overall It was very positive experience. We would love to return if in town next time.”

“A bit outdated but very close to the skunk train. My family survived the Norman Bates hotel. We are used to national chains but there weren't many available so we decided to give this a try. We later learned it does not have air conditioning and the beds were way too soft to our liking. Breakfast was good.”

“Actually I accidentally booked two reservations thru Expedia and tried to cancel this within 15 minutes of the booking. They refused and charged me anyway even though we didn't go which was such inconsiderate customer service I decided to write this review.”

“We stayed in the Emerald Room for the 4th of July (the largest with the peacocks and the king bed) and found the experience to be a beautiful gem inside Fort Bragg. Do plan accordingly because there is no microwave or any way to cook things, and the fridge was a little warm. I'm not knocking off any points for the appliance situation because it made the experience more historical and made the dream real. The tower was the highest point in Fort Bragg and gave an amazing view for the fireworks...

“Clean, comfortable, simple. Higher quality and warmer hospitality than a typical lodge or motel experience. Recent renovation especially notable with bed, room furnishings. A more affordable alternative to Mendocino town options while only 5-6 minutes down the road. Easy parking, impressed the wifi worked even though my AT&T cell signal did not.”

“Immaculously maintained and very quaint. Breakfast is out of this world. The chef has indeed put a lot of thought into the breakfast presentation, with local flowers. A great early 19th-century experience. Walking distance to a few great restaurants, in particular, Trillium and MacCallum. A very satisfying stay.”
