“We stayed here for 2 nights and everything was good. All the staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The pool and steam room were good. The gym was probably the biggest one I've seen in a hotel. Plenty of parking available. We slept very well here. Overall a great experience and we'd visit again, but have dinner somewhere else.”

“Beautiful hotel, old building which has been done up to a really high standard but you still see the classy almost castle like feel of it. Staff were very friendly and kind. I really enjoyed the decor in the room and around the hotel, the spacious room and extremely comfortable bed. Only slight problem was the radiators filled with water at 6am and it woke us both up from the noise untill I had to get out of bed and turn off. “We found this hotel and it’s an absolute gem! Nestled above Lake Windermere, it has a lovely atmosphere and comfy rooms. We had both dinner and breakfast there and they were both tasty and to a high standard. Staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We would definitely stay there again”

“Great stay for two night break on the coast to Coast trail. Staff was friendly and helpful. Friday nights are very loud with karaoke so be prepared! Food was good, but basic pub food. Breakfast had several choices and the avocado and poached egg was especially good. There's an awesome Indian restaurant called the mango tree just a few buildings down.
