"My room was clean and quiet. The shower water was lukewarm but the sink water nearby was nice and hot. The toilet leaked. The noise was irritating so I lifted the lid of the cistern and adjusted the skimmer but had to do that each time I had used the toilet and the sistern had filled up. I did reports the issue to the front desk where a maintenance man was standing. His response was that it was a known problem + they were going through each inroom to update that part of the toilet, but I didn't get any feeling of urgency that a particular room reported to be an issue would be dealt with. The breakfast did not offer any juices and when I asked if there was any I was told by a disinterested woman that the delivery truck hadn't come yet, which I thought was strange as one assumes suppliers would be delivered the previous day for the next breakfast morning. I considered it very basic and unsatisfactory. However, the room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and the staff person who booked me in was extremely pleasant"

"This is the second time we've stayed at this property. Both times we noticed that the place smells funky. It's built directly over a creek, so I'm guessing that there's a mold problem. We reserved a suite with a pull-out sofa bed, but there was no pull-out sofa bed. Our trip got worse when neither TV in our room worked. The hotel made it right by moving us to a different suite that was MUCH nicer. We didn't notice the funky smell on the second floor, so the smell seems to be a first floor problem. The 2nd floor suite I adjacent to a loft overlooking the lobby and they leave the lobby TV on all night long. For whatever acoustic reason, we could hear that TV louder in our room than we could in the lobby, but they did turn it down when we asked. The room was moderately clean, but looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a while. There were crumbs all over the floor and couch (which still wasn't a pull-out sofa bed, but was big enough to sleep on) It's close to the University. The breakfast is great and the staff are helpful."
