“I hate to write negative things, this inn has many things going for it. The mattress in room 6, however, badly needs to be replaced. You sink in about six inches when you sit and the springs squeak and groan every time you move. There is only one accessible grounded outlet by the door. Other outlets are concealed behind furniture. Ungrounded extension cords are provided. The market next door which presumably provides a free breakfast wasn't open for the season yet. Other than that, the room was...

“I loved staying at this hotel!! Room was spacious, clean, and had plenty of coffee with a coffee machine. Complimentary breakfast of good quality was served in a nice and clean restaurant. The staff at the front desk was kind and helpful. If I have chances to go back to the Bar Harbor area, I'd definitely choose this hotel again. Highly recommendable. ”

“We had to use a door lock code to enter the room. We were given the code by calling the number on a sign. We loved the outdoor fire pit and grills. The motel was very simple but had everything we needed. There was a back area where we could walk the dogs. The room was clean and the area quiet.”

“Stayed in 2 bedroom suite. Beds were very comfortable. Rooms were clean and adequate space for several luggage/totes. Breakfast was great. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, juice, coffee, assortment of GF breads/muffins, etc. Easy access to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Washer and dryer worked well. Only issue was condensation in bathroom made floor tiles a bit wet. Placed towel on floor as fix.”

“Very beautiful and clean hotel. Everything looks brand new and well maintained. Staff were extremely polite and friendly. The restaurant food and service was superb as well. The only reason why I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the room we stayed in was too loud for me. We were located right next to a stairwell that the door was being opened and closed repeatedly, plus the room was located right above the bustling street. The traffic noise started before 5am and the conversations of the foot...

“Afternoon tea and breakfast offerings were always-changing and unique. We enjoyed the privacy of our cottage room, but the community of the house and dining. Cottage Inn staff was all friendly and helpful! The proximity to everything was very convenient. The water pressure was incredible as well.”
