Hotel Riu Palace Tropical Bay - All Inclusive

Hotel Riu Palace Tropical Bay - All Inclusive

8/10 Good
"Bittersweet Experience at Hotel Riu Palace Tropical Bay, Negril We had a bittersweet experience during our five-day family stay at Hotel Riu Palace Tropical Bay in Negril. We chose this property largely because of the excellent experience we previously had at Hotel Riu Caribe in Cancun. Our stay in Cancun gave us confidence in the RIU brand, particularly when it came to hospitality, service, and the overall all-inclusive experience. Unfortunately, our experience at Riu Palace Tropical Bay did not meet the same standards. One of our biggest disappointments was the buffet service. There appears to be a need for better management, supervision, and hospitality training for some of the buffet staff, including chefs and servers. On two separate occasions during our five-day stay, we found food trays completely empty and not replenished in a timely manner. In an all-inclusive resort, especially during normal meal hours, the buffet should be continuously monitored so that food is prepared for replenishment before a tray becomes completely empty. What made the situation more disappointing was the lack of communication. When I politely asked staff members whether an empty item was going to be replenished, there were occasions when I did not even receive a proper response or an update. Even if an item takes a few minutes to prepare, simply acknowledging the guest and saying, “Yes, it will be available shortly,” makes a big difference. Guests should not be left standing there wonder"

10/10 Excellent
"It was a piece of paradise. The sea was divine. The rooms right In front of the beach all small villas surrounded by pools. I loved the buffet. The food was fresh and there were different kinds of cooked meals. The people were kind and friendly. Not crowded which made it peaceful. They had beautiful shows and songs in the evening. Very happy. Will come back for sure. And the sea!!!! I don’t hours and hours floating and swimming. Enough towels, plenty of beach chairs. Coffee and drinks available all the time. Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!"

"Staff is excellent. Room is clean but AC didn’t work as well as I would have liked, I brought a personal fan so I was okay. Food is good but repeated and buffet not much of a selection. Location is amazing and the beach is amazing. All the waitresses are wonderful!! Definitely would go again!!!"

Sunset at the Palms Resort - Adults Only - All Inclusive

Sunset at the Palms Resort - Adults Only - All Inclusive

10/10 Excellent
"Stayed here a week and couldn’t be happier. The hotel is very cute and outdoorsy (no AC in many places) so you have to be ok with that. The rooms are nice and roomy. The beds are so comfortable! Meals were good, especially at the beach bar. Definitely order the jerk chicken with fries. The staff at the resort were so kind, attentive, respectful and just generally lovely people. There was never an issue of not finding a spot on the beach or pool like you normally experience at larger resorts. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to get away with a couple of books, children free, and have a laid back experience in a beautiful setting."
