After a fun weekend visiting my friend at NC State, we decided to make the short drive to downtown Raleigh to check out the Capitol Building. Amazing building and very photogenic on all 4 sides!

Took a free tour of the historic Capitol. The area around the capitol is quite nice. And we even saw a parade of the Miss North Carolina pageant contestants - "The Parade of Shoes"!
