"This hotel seems to be backsliding. I’ve stayed there for years and always enjoyed. But last few years the consistently wonderful staff is hampered by maintenance issues. One of the three elevators is always down. (Last week, two of the three.) The air conditionjng in lobby was broken so staff set up fans. The rooms are very tidy and spacious but the cookware for kitchens is spotty, often with essential items missing. Stayed in five different rooms this summer. Only two had ice trays. One had broken can opener and no bowls.
The breakfast remains terrific and the dining room is wonderful, spacious and bright with many types of seating.
The owners need to put more effort into keeping up the place. The staff is very patient with and responsive to complaints."
