“It is an old hotel with lots of charm (on the outside). The lobby falls a little flat and could use a little more character and tbh... it smelled unpleasant! The room was very nice and looked as expected as shown in the photos. The king bed was very nice and comfortable, however the pillows were not - they went flat as soon as you laid your head on them. I think an addition of a desk would go a long way. The walls are thin so I heard our very loud neighbors talking on the phone 11pm at night....

“What a gem of a place. For a first timer in HMB, I was very impressed with the layout of this hotel. Only guests are allowed onsite (so our car felt safe); almost every room has a view of the bay; we got a free bottle of wine and glass-free wine glasses to take to the giant jacuzzi! The staff was so very helpful (the young male with the curly hair!) and he recommended the Bodega Head hike—which was phenomenal. “It is a basic room, but the location is really good. It was clean, but the whole place could use an upgrade (fresh paint, upgraded towels, screens on the windows, updated ac and hot water). Staff is super kind!”

“I feel the website needs to include the picture of the 'overflow' building where we had to stay because they had no more rooms available in the main building. No where on the website is the 'overflow' building shown or mentioned which looks nothing like the main building from the outside. We noticed possible non client random people outside the parking lot/wall/trash dumpster on their phones and or smoking. I had to close my room door fast so the cigarette smoke wouldn't come in the room. Also...
