"Amazing experience... We reached in the morning and were allowed to check in (without any extra cost) early. Special thanks to Kathy (reception staff) for such a welcoming gesture. Room was clean, with good amenities. View of citadel from the roof top, gym, hot pool, seating area at the roof top, view of ocean, citadel... morning breakfast with really friendly staff members does make the start of your day special. walkable to citadel, church, public garden, even halifax harbour (coming back is uphill, don't worry if you over eat at the harbour).. Thank you for wonderful memories.."

"The Lord Nelson is very close to many historical places that I wanted to see. I could go out each night and walk through the Public Gardens, the Citadel was about 3 blocks away. The Old Burying Ground cemetery was about 4 blocks away. I was so happy with the location. The Arms restaurant had the best seafood chowder. My room was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and acknowledged my birthday with a box of chocolates with a card and the next day I had chocolate cheesecake in my fridge! I was most content. Thank you!"

"We really enjoyed our stay, great views, big rooms, comfy beds, good food in the lobby cafe. Only one elevator though, chronic breakdown issues we’re told and the fan in our bathroom not working. But had a great time nonetheless"
