"The room was very modern, comfortable and clean. It was very close to the waterfront, where we spent most of our time while there. We didn't care for the barn door on the bathroom. It was a bit noisy. The flooring in the bathroom looked dirty, but I think it was just the flooring material that was used. There was sufficient (open style) closet space, but only one small drawer and only one spot to place luggage. Storage was limited for two people for a stay of a few days. There was only de-caf coffee in the beverage tray. I found this to be a theme on our NS road trip - lack of attention paid to coffee supplies. The restaurant/bar closed a bit early but the food we had was very good. Overall, we enjoyed our stay."

"The inn was older and needed maintenance and new paint. The internet didn't work in my room for the four nights I stayed there, although I asked about it a few times. The room was clean although there was no daily house-keeping. The room was adjacent to a flat-roof area where there were many pigeons that made noise early in the morning. The room overlooked the back sitting area for a restaurant and there was noise in the evening, although it stopped by 10:30 pm. There was only one small dining sitting chair in the room and no desk. The TV didn't work. The microwave and beer fridge worked ok. The air conditioning worked although it was noisy. The hallways and staircases smelled and could certainly use more upkeep. I wouldn't stay there again."

"The bedding was basically a thin sheet. One small pillow. Who on earth actually sleeps with a single pillow and a thin sheet? No microwave or TV. A single paper cup in the room. No housekeeping, which is fine, but I would like to get a towel or a bar of soap. There was one small towel and a face cloth, and no soap dish. You have a shared bathroom, so there is nowhere to put your used bar of soap. No elevator, and I was on the fourth floor for my stay. I LIKE using the stairs, but when carrying luggage, for most people, it is a real issue. The 'mattress' was ridiculous; every spring felt like it was pushing through the fabric. No plugs in the rooms were accessible. I had to move furniture to get to a plug. No side table. It felt like prison. I understand that this is student housing, and I was there for a conference, and the price was ok, but basic bedding should be a requirement for any hotel. Also, it is a small thing, but there are 8 buildings in the parking lot. None of them is numbered. So if you try to order food for delivery, none of the drivers can figure out where to go, so you need to go down and outside to meet the driver. "why are you ordering food and bottle of pop or water"? Because, there is no vending, food service or any sort of anywhere to get anything without leaving and getting in a taxi or uber to go somewhere. NOthing. Not even a pop vending machine. "Well, why not walk to the Tim HOrtons"? Because literally everyting is locked up and not open on weekends"
