“My favourite East Anglian hotel - recently refurbished, just as friendly and welcoming. As usual there were all sorts here, it's a proper 'local' - good food, good beer, good cheer! Lots of interesting opinions - all topical issues covered and easily overheard. The bar has two tellies now, and I enjoyed watching the end of an ODI (Sri Lanka won), and then some Happy Valley with mein hosts. I thoroughly recommend anyone to stay here (as long as you can do stairs), it's reasonably priced, the...

“This was the perfect place to stay for a special event at nearby Wymondham College. I was warmly (well, it was during the heatwave!) and cheerfully greeted by Tracey. My room was clean, well-prepared and provided me with all the facilities I required. It was extremely competitively priced. My thanks to the staff concerned for their part in a really memorable weekend.”

“전반적으로 만족하는 숙소였음. 아침식사 종류가 너무 단순했음. 숙소 가격이 조금 비쌈 ”

“It started badly when, upon entering the room, there was a smell of cigarette smoke. Clearly, the room should have been decommissioned until it could be properly cleaned and fumigated. As the property operates on an automated basis (the key is retrieved from a key safe with a code supplied by email), there was no receptionist on duty. Luckily, we managed to find a helpful cleaner who was still on the premises, who was able to arrange for an alternative room. Although better, the room did not...

“My new favourite place to stay when we come to Norfolk. A lovely hotel, amazing staff and really friendly locals. It was so lovely to see how busy the pub was with both food and drinks. The food was incredible, breakfasts were amazing. We popped downstairs later one evening and just had a dessert and they were more than happy to just serve that. All the staff were great, so friendly and went over and above when I mentioned something I needed for the room. The room was great, loved the...

“Simply stunning. Beautiful place to relax and unwind. A real luxury feel. Would definitely recommend.”

“Accommodation within student campus, run well and always happy to stay here. Basic and dated but if you just looking for a no frills bed for the night then its perfect”

“The staff were friendly and helpful without being effusive. The room was clean and spacious although there was a distinct lack of power plugs in useful places. Breakfast was good and served promptly, as was dinner. The menu was more limited than in other places but the quality was excellent. The ambience and furnishings in the building were interesting.”

“There were a few little problems (tv, bad odour from sink) but the staff very helpful and friendly. Location is great!”

“Staff are very helpful and create a pleasant friendly environment, good standards of cleanliness throughout. Lovely big breakfast served by staff member attentive to customer needs.”

“Staff were friendly and helpful. Room spotless and food the best.”

“Very charming staff, great breakfast as well as thoughtful service, sorted a breakfast for my hubby to go and even remembered the order next day. Room was lovely and toasty, just what you need after a frolick in the forest. Slept very well. Lots of walks nearby, even saw owls. EXCEPTIONAL food, rare for these days they cater for folks with proper appetites! Loved the friendly field cat! Thank you for a wonderful time we loved it. 🙏”

“The bathroom was in a poor start of repair. The side bath panel was water damaged and obviously been treated and then left Showing further damage and falling apart. The bathroom mirror required changing with various black marks across it. The thermostatic controls were really stiff and couldn’t be fully used for both hot and cold. The markings for hot and cold faded and difficult to establish which way to turn. The bath had various stains around the plug hole and bath and certainly...
