“I enjoyed my stay at the Clinton Motel. The room had everything I needed for my one night stay. The front desk personnel were helpful and courteous. ”

“The negatives: the pillows had a bit of a smell (not the cases but the actual pillows); the bathroom smelled like it had been cleaned with a dirty sponge. The positives: the floor is laminate and so no icky carpet; the bed was comfortable and clean; heat/ac worked great; I felt safe there; it’s away from the noise of 95. This motel is really on par with the others in Old Saybrook. Alternatives are more expensive.”

“I was first placed in a dirty room but they were very quick and efficient to move me which was great b/c I don’t like first floor rooms. In my second room on 2nd floor the window lock was broken so I couldn’t lock it. Uncomfortable but being in 2nd floor helped. Clock in the room nor working or unplugged?? Just used my fon for the clock. Breakfast area very clean and orderly and good. Parking lot had potholes but they were there fixing them today. Staff VERY friendly!!! ”

“The hotel was perfect for a one night getaway. Matthew at the front desk was wonderful, and so very helpful. The dinner was outstanding, as was the breakfast the next morning. The location on the beach was perfect, and even though it was April, we enjoyed a nice walk on the beach. Would definitely come back!”

“My room was supposed to be non-smoking but it wasn't and stunk of cigarettes. When I got there I rang the doorbell to check in, after several time someone showed up and the first thing he said was do you have a reservation? The towels were thin, I had only one washcloth, and there was soap but no shampoo. The ice machine was locked. There was no breakfast, not even coffee! At 8 AM for checking out there was no one at the desk for me to drop my car off with and I was not about to leave it in...
